Sheema Mukherjee, composer and sitar player, is known for her solo work and collaborations. She is a member of Transglobal Underground and the niece of legendary sitarist Pandit Nikhil Banerjee.

She has composed and performed for the RSC (‘The Empress’), ‘Midsummer Night’s Dream (The Globe), Kubla Khan (PMLD/AUT children) and “Bending the Dark” was featured during the 2012 Olympics.

Other works include Floods of Beauty (Sir John Tavener), Paul Weller (current) Martin and Eliza Carthy (current), Boris Grebenshikov (current), Natacha Atlas (current), Cornershop, Courtney Pine. In 2018 she developed and composed a spa (Lush). In 2014 she created her own perfume ‘Sikkim Girls’ (Lush). Her albums are “Sheema” (08/14) and Karma (11/2019), ECC records & Sitar Monday, Mule Satellite record label.
