Japanese style Taiko is drumming you can hear with your eyes. Its roots lies in the rich traditions of Buddhist rituals and rural folk fests. Taiko has crossed the Japanese borders and as a vibrant living tradition it evolves differently in Europe, America and Asia. Tethera Taiko is based in Yealand, lead by sensei Anne Prescott.
As an extra special festival treat, storyteller and singer Kersti Ståbi will be joining forces with Tethera in ‘Lost Myth’; a Japanese drumming and story spectacle!
